In today’s fast-paced, technology-driven world, the quality of products and services in the marketplace is becoming a great concern. To address these concerns, a group of business and manufacturing leaders from over ninety countries gathered to form an organization called the Internal Organization for Standardization. This organization began work in the 1980’s and established the world’s first standard for quality (ISO-9000-1987). These guidelines provide companies with specifications for quality that create standardized systems and processes throughout the world. The standard was revised in 1994 and again in 2000 to address the many elements that determine quality. All of these elements must be supported and in compliance before a company can be certified.

Chardon is registered by NSFChardon Laboratories is proud to be among a limited number of ISO certified water treatment companies in the United States. There are approximately 400 water treatment companies in the United States and less than 10 of them have made the commitment to become ISO certified! ISO certification is difficult to achieve. In fact, only one out of five companies are certified on their first try! Chardon has proven our commitment to doing the job right the first time and providing customers with the quality results they should expect.

“Preparation for ISO 9000 registration takes several years and a lot of hard work, but is definitely worth it” states Michel Smith, Q.C. Administrator. “The certification we received was a result of a team-based effort and commitment to spending the time it takes to make Chardon a better company. There is a joint effort each and every day to provide all of our customers quality results, or as we say Guaranteed Waterside Solutions.” This is why Chardon set out to certify the entire service process. Our entire organization’s processes and procedures were reviewed and if necessary, changed for improvement and effectiveness. Finally, every process was thoroughly documented through procedures and work instructions. We are proud of what we have accomplished and continue to make every effort to improve so the results can be passed along to all our customers.
